When you receive the following error “The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed”

Heres what to try

Login as local administrator.
start – run – cmd as administrator

Type the following in the CMD window:
netdom resetpwd /s:DOMAINCONTROLLER.FullyQualified.Domain /ud:DOMAIN\administrator /pd:*

When prompted, enter the domain admin password, and you are good to go!
